Holy Cross Monastery
March 15-17, 2023
Take a break from the hurly-burly of your daily life.
For many years Trinity has organized retreats at Holy Cross Monastery, an Anglican Benedictine monastery in West Park, New York.
Led by the Rector and a Brother from the monastery, participants spend a weekend of fellowship and reflection, while attending daily worship services and observing the Benedictine Rule of Life (including the Great Silence, every evening).
Local walks among the gardens and grounds of the monastery, and hikes across the Hudson via the Rails-to-Trails bridge into Poughkeepsie are much-cherished parts of the retreat experience.
Thai Forest Monks
in West Redding
Stay tuned for 2024 dates
An afternoon with Thai Forest Monks at Redding Meditation Center.
A lead practitioner will offer a one-hour meditation teaching and dharma in the Center’s serene, light-filled barn whose large windows open to the gardens and woods beyond. Tea and snacks will be provided, and participants are free to walk or picnic on the grounds.
Art & Soul
Come play! Enrich your soul through the arts.
Long a signature and beloved adult education program at Trinity Southport, Art & Soul offers lectures, visits to museum exhibitions, and trips to the theater tied to ecclesiastical events and speakers at Trinity.
Most A&S events involve private tours led by a scholar guiding study of at least one masterpiece, or an historic or natural site. We often try to build in an optional meal as a fellowship experience. Venues may be hyper-local or range as far as Boston, Philadelphia, and Salisbury, England.
Next year’s field trips are currently in development.
Check back for future events.
